The UK's physical games chart isn't often one to change, but a raft of exciting new releases means things have been hotting up among the bestsellers. Gran Turismo 7 remains in the top spot for the second week in a row, while WWE 2K22 debuts in second, selling best on PlayStation 5. While the redeemed wrestling title can't topple Sony's driving juggernaut, it has pushed down Elden Ring to third place.
Meanwhile, Horizon Forbidden West stays steady in fourth, and FIFA 22 moves down to seventh, which is probably the lowest it's been for some time. Dying Light 2 has been shunted out of the top 10, shuffling from ninth to 11th. Another new release (which is actually just a code in a box) is Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, which debuts in 12th. Finally, in case you're wondering, GTA 5 is in 14th.
Here's the latest top 10 in full:
- Gran Turismo 7
- WWE 2K22
- Elden Ring
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Pokémon Legends: Arceus
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- FIFA 22
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Minecraft (Switch)
- Mario Party Superstars

@lolwhatno It's firmly in the uncanny valley
great too see two excluisves in the top 5. GT 7 deserves the top spot the best racing game in decades!
loving new WWE game vast improvment, love the new wrestling gameplay.
lots of modes even if GM is a little lacking and some amazing creator stuff. only downside hit a wall in my rise with the money in the bank ladder match, its just insane the mini game is not too bad its the rest the cpu players spend more time after me than triing to put up a ladder, spend more time after me when ladder is up than getting people off it but when i go for ladder the all go insane. think they need to patch it
Good to see GT selling well. It deserves to. Now patch in a bloody pre race weather forecast Polyphony and were set.
Great to see GT7 do well and Elden Ring and H:FW continue to remain at the top. Quality prevailing
GT7 being an exclusive I probably won't ever play made me wonder what was the last Sony game that I played. It was the last of us part II. There have been so many Sony games that I could take or leave, like Returnal and Demon Souls remake, along with games that I barely notice exist like MLB the Show and games like Spiderman I have no interest in.
Just a few years ago I feel like I was playing basically everything Playstation Studios game.
Not having a PS5 has made this worse, because I really want to play Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh Collection and will definitely get round to Horizon eventually, but I can't help thinking Sony is making fewer games that take my fancy. Not sure if that is true though!
GTA5 is going top again isnt it...
I’m not surprised to see GT7 in the number one spot for a second week in a row, as it has even captured the affections of my fifa/cod playing friends. We all love it. It’s the most additive racer I have played to date. We have all brought the Tomahawks and are racing them in private lobby multiplayer rooms. It’s such a laugh. Happy days 👍😋😃
@lolwhatno I'm confused, the whole thing is a shot from the game so isn't it all kinda photoshopped.
@Apfelschteiner Uncanny valley is right though. It looks amazing but not quite real.
GTA will be bloody top again next week.
as gta is at the moment only digital i cant see how its going to be in the top ten as the phsical version is not needed for upgrade can see a lot being sold off
edit
but expect it in the top five for digital sales
@lolwhatno It does look photoreal on first view! He DOES look like that in real life... other than something is a bit off.
Biggest compliment you can give the devs art team though. Bravo!
@lolwhatno thats exactly what his nose looks like in real life tho. Could park a Dodge charger in each nostril.
Absolutely loving GT7. It’s completely changed my opinion of racing games.
@lolwhatno Screenshots are much easier to trick us with, but technology is getting better all the time. It will soon be difficult to tell what is real and that will have widespread consequences for society
@Rob_230 Physical version isn't until April but when it does release I think it will go back to #1.
So happy to see Gran Turismo still in pole position. I’ve loved playing Forza Horizon 5 these past few months, but as far as I’m concerned, Polyphony’s latest release is superior in every way. In fact, it feels remarkably similar to how I remember Gran Turismo 3 on PS2 at the time, and I’m enjoying it way more than I ever expected to.
Great to see all those games doing great my only question is why is there a photo of some stage lighting equipment included in the article?😜
Pretty impressive GT7 beat a multiplatform game, though it is the best racing game in a long time so word must of caught on
Great to see GT7 selling well, awesome game.
Playstation nailed the racing game of this gen..GT7 will sell boatloads, elden ring is also a massive success that plays and runs better on ps5..HFW is nothing less than awesome but please someone elaborate why xbox sold more units in february than ps5? My take is that the ps5 have serious supply problems with it's "exotic" hardware..(dualsense, ssd, cooling system, tempest audio engine).
@zebric21
More series X available than ps5 and series S easy to get, Sony need too pull finger out and get more ps5 out.
RIP Scott Hall, aka, Razor Ramon
@suikoden It's a shame that microsoft can get away with series s and sell this machine even a ps4 pro with an ssd is a better investment .
@zebric21 It really isn’t a better investment, especially for the consumer that limits their game purchases when Gamepass exists.
@zebric21
Why it's a good little machine , post just reeks of fan boy elitism , if thing had been reversed you probably would be praising Sony.
Also it's specs are pretty good compared to the pro and it's newer tech and it hasn't stopped production like pro
Even with a SSD the pro will never be as fast as the series S.
@Sakisa ps+ and retail games can be dead cheap too bro, don't start me talking about second hand copies..
@zebric21 Sounds like more hurdles than just buying a console, getting gamepass, and playing hundreds of games right then and there without the streaming restrictions that hold ps now back.
Gran Turismo 7 is the first GT game I've really been able to enjoy since the PS2 days. Great to see it back in top form and selling well.
@Rob_230
9 years after release! Rockstar shareholders must be stoked! Milking 1 game for 9 years is seriously impressive for a return on investment
Should be #1. GT7 is a car and racing fan dream.
I'll be playing this game for a very long time. Sony hit it out of the park with this one.
That photo really fits the text 👍
